about us

In Malaysia, over 50% of the population struggles with overweight and obesity, contributing to a sharp rise in non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and other obesity-related conditions.

These NCDs now account for 70% of healthcare costs, pushing Malaysia’s healthcare expenditure beyond RM 60 billion annually (Malaysia National Health Accounts Health Expenditure Report 1997-2019).

Despite this alarming trend, there remains a lack of trust from both medical professionals and the public toward Nutritionists and Dietitians. Some doctors may question the effectiveness of current practices in nutrition and dietetics, while many individuals continue to place greater trust in uncertified coaches, or quick-fix slimming products that promise fast results but lack sustainable impact.

These highlight the need for a new, impactful approach in dietary support and public health.

At JomSayHeart Diet Centre, we are committed to revolutionizing the role of Nutritionists and Dietitians in Malaysia. Our mission is to shift the focus toward meaningful, lasting habit changes with long-term monitoring and support rather than one-time consultations, which are common in both public and private healthcare settings.

Through our commitment to tackling Malaysia’s Triple Burden of Malnutrition: undernutrition, overnutrition, and micronutrient deficiencies—we aim to fill the gap in diet consultation services, raise awareness of the essential roles of Nutritionists and Dietitians, and create a healthier Malaysia.
